After closely examining the photo I think the singular is called for. "Parturient Pepper".
We may need a lexicographer to settle this, but I thought the two flowers were the parturient items and the one pepper is already a pepper.
In my ignorance I thought "Parturient" was the brand of pepper but know I've Dictionary.com'd the word and I see where you are coming from.
We have over 80 tomatoes at this point. One year in Brooklyn we harvested over 100 pounds, but that was with a garden on the roof.
