Blago-who-o-vich?

I don't claim any particular genius when it comes to knowing who's who in national politics. Until a week or so ago, I don't think I'd ever heard of Rod Blag...Blago..the Governor of Illinois. I created this little quiz for you to test your knowledge of current and past politicians in the U.S.

I don't think you have to sign up for anything heinous to take the quiz, but if you do, let me know in the comments and I'll ditch the evil thing.

Don't feel bad. I only learned of Blago around the time of the convention. If you'd asked me six months ago, I would have guessed Ryan was still in office.

I like this polling widget, btw. I got an 80% (got AL guv wrong -- although I admit I got HI in a lucky guess -- and number of VPs indicted).

I got 60%, because clearly I'm a stunning ignoramus.

Wait a second.. Ford is dead?

Hell. How'd I miss that one?

After a few moments thought...

Does it really matter if we know the names of the governors of states halfway across the country?

Policies in neighboring states are important, but I'm not sure anything beyond that matters too much.

50%. Not bad for mostly guessing.

Michelle,

They do get to name Senators sometimes and that matters no matter how far away they are.

and Kim,

You get a pass for being a foreign infiltrator.

Nathan,

Not for long I'm thinking.

7 of 10 for me. Did not know governors of Hawaii and Alabama, and the number of traitor VPs. The number of living VPs was a educated - lucky - guess.

9 out of 10. Does it mean something when I did better on this quiz than I did on the 5th grade science test from Jim's blog?

Uh,

I just went and tried Jim's test.

100%

Natalie, Please don't be offended if I request a different doctor.

Nathan, feel free to get a different doctor. Please note that they all charge more than I do. :-D

And my problem with Jim's quiz was that I was not thinking like a 5th grader and reading too much into the questions.
