Breaking News of the Really Stale Variety.

It has come to my attention, that as of 22 years and 290 days ago, I am no longer eligible to be drafted by the Selective Service Administration. I don't know how I let that slip by without due notice.

Granted, I didn't have a blog then...or a computer...or any concept of the internet.

Well, better late than never. That's one less thing on my mind.

Nathan, no worries....Obamas "Civilian Security Force" will draft people up to age 65. Just stay in shape.

Since Bush's version of sacrifice basically consisted of telling people to buy a bigger SUV, I'll keep an open mind.

And you keep leaving letters off your name recently...is everything O.K. out there? I suggest a monthly pilgrimage to the shrine at John Wayne Airport. Oooh! There's Marxists at the door. Don't worry. Rooster Cogburn will protect you.

{/sarcasm}

Why is it that you think "A thousand points of light" with no specific direction is a wonderful thing, and sending people around the world with a clear mandate to utilize their expertise is a bad thing?

I got lucky with the military draft in Russia, being in the first year in which university students were granted exceptions, and then managed to get out of the Army Reserve training at the university before commission as a Junior Leutenant of the Reserves. So, my own "escape" from the Selective Service years ago was an underwhelming occasion in comparison.

Sorry, I was out of "t's" in my virtual scrabble game.

I will be at John Wayne tomorrow for my weekly trip to Scottsdale, AZ. I'll make sure to "level" a marxist or two on my way in.

Hey, and don't worry, I'm kinda excited so far as to way B.O. has done with his selections, HRC aside. Shows he knows where he truly needs experts. And, he just may be the last honest polititian to ever come out of Chicago.

I think you meant the first honest politician to come our of Chicago. But I know how much it pains you to be having happy thoughts about Obama, so I'm gonna give you a pass.
