Dinner Was Had Without Incident!

That's all I wanted to say. Go about your business. Nothing to see here.

What was it?

Leftover turkey and mashed potatoes.

(I didn't say exciting...just without incident.)

How old?

No, don't tell me. I'll wait and see if you blog about a bad rumbly in your tumbly at 2 am...

Isn't Shawn the one that eats questionable leftovers, not Nathan?

Well, "monkey see...," y'know?

Anyway, it's a bee-yoo-tiful a.m. in the east now and all seems to have, um, passed, without incident. Good morning!

Good Morning Jeff.

So have you done any advanced meal planning for today?

Nathan said...

I definitely plan to eat two or three times today. That's as far as my planning has gone.

I know there have been incidents when it comes to take out, but are your home-prepared meals also that eventful?

Matt,

GF and I are both pretty good cooks. I can proudly state that I can count on one hand the number of times either of us have made something that was utterly inedible.

I have a distinct memory of some
Cornish Game Hens with so much sage, they tasted like smelly dust.

Only when the meatloaf requires a cage.

Then there was the grilled lamb...

In other news, I got 200 more unique visitors to my blog today than I usually do (which is normally 30ish). For some reason, everyone who searches on "Mandarin alphabet" lands on the post I wrote about it back in January. Somehow a ton of people in South Africa, Singapore, and New Zealand are all interested in that topic today.

My poor eggs became ill from all that traffic. o.O

I think at the time, I said, "Let us never speak of it again". If I didn't, then I'm saying it now.

Completely and utterly inedible...with GF trying to choke it down and be nice about it. When I said I couldn't eat it, she got a "Thank God" look on her face.

If you didn't want us to speak of it, you should not have put it up on your banner...

;p

I didn't put it there...Michelle did.

And I keep forgetting it's there.
