I Am FREAKING OUT!

Today is Wednesday. We start shooting next Tuesday. There's a long weekend in the middle.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but between stuff I haven't got yet and schedules that are changing by the minute, and the fact that instead of prepping the locations I do have, I've been spending every day in the van looking at choices for locations, I am FREAKING OUT! (I'm exaggerating the shit out of my level of anxiety, but hey, you guys know I'm a drama queen.)

In other news, I'm guessing Shawn Powers' placement in the Hawtness Calendar is going to bring him to NYC sometime in the near future...or at least that's the best I can figure from his email yesterday. If, in fact, Shawn is coming to NY, I'm going to get him to spend some time on set and enlist John the Scientist's aid in finding other ways to entertain and otherwise make him feel both welcome and discomforted all at the same time.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I'm FREAKING OUT over the amount of work I have to do to get ready for this coming Tuesday, so I can't spend much time here playing. You've all done a wonderful job of keeping the blog going all on its own for the last couple of days, so I'll depend on you to continue. I'll write some longer stuff this weekend when I'm on a cabin porch looking at a lake and sipping bloody maries. (The plural of maries looks wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's spelled right.)

You may now comb my archives and discuss my spelling deficiencies.

Deep breaths Nathan, deep breaths. & maybe a few good drugs while you're @ it.
Yeah Shawn, just checked the results & he's still going strong. Very sexy indeed.
You'd better blog while you're away, otherwise what the hell will I have to do all weekend??? Not everyone gets to go away for the holiday weekend!
Poor Marie, she's bloody too? It's bad enough that Mary is, but now Marie? I believe it is Bloody Marys. I could be wrong, & just picky & snarky.

I'm sure things will come together. Although, as your deadlines approach, your posts are getting pretty funny in a frantic sort of way.

And tracy is right, it would be Bloody Marys.

Matt, Tracy,

Thank you for correcting my spelling.

It might be better if you just tell me to spell things any way I want to though.

That's just the mood I'm in.

Nathan, unless someone is actually, like, paying you to write, you should spell things the way you want. It's your blog, after all.

Besides, it gives the rest of us something to laugh at/feel superior about :-)

I'm sorry for correcting you, I won't do it again. Bad Tracy, bad Tracy. Never correct the blogger.

Go away fro a day and come back from drivers unable to find the Mid-town to Nathan "FREAKING OUT!" Nathan, if I recall, you always ran a few revs higher than everyone else. I seem to remember an incident with an RV that went something like this, "put the RV over there, no wait it'll be in the shot, over there then, hmmm...ahh, hell, just put it in that guy's front yard and we'll run the power off the outlet on the side of his house."

No worries, Nathan. It alwas works out and you always seem to make it happen. Have fun with Mary and/or Marie this weekend.

Normally, I wouldn't correct anyone on their blog, but you did give us permission ("You may now comb my archives and discuss my spelling deficiencies.").

The English major/editor in me couldn't help himself.

Scalzi is usually good for at least a couple of typos a day (not that my posts are typo-free), but I know if I were to correct him I would get the kind of comment beat down that he's known for.

There is always stinky tofu. If John the Scientist comes to the DC area I will not allow myself to be convinced to try that stuff. I'd sooner eat haggis.

Spicy and Tasty!!!!!!!!

Kate may come, too.

Natalie - I'm Scotts-Irish, and my grandparents lived in Bethesda. I do know a place or two to get haggis....

John the Scientist said...

Well, half Scotts-Irish, but that is enough of the crazy gene to like haggis, apparently.

Hope your day was not as hectic as you thought it might be Nathan, although I am afraid that it was probably worse. Just keep thinking about those Bloody Maries.

Kimby,

The day was hectic to the point that I don't think I stopped for five minutes today, but I didn't get to cross a single thing off of my "To Do List".

Yeah! Today sucked. But tonight was excellent!
