I'm currently reading "The Forever Hero" trilogy by L.E. Modesitt, Jr. There are some things I've especially liked and some others that I've found variously annoying. Since I was about 1/2 way through, I've been intending to post a review, but now I find myself less than 100 pages from the end and I'm finding this last bit to be something of a slog.
I'll finish it because, well, ya'know, I've come this far, but something really good (and unambiguous) better start happening soon, or else. Good ole L.E. sure doesn't want to find himself on the sharp side of my tongue. (None of which makes any damned sense at all, considering the fact that I doubt he's reading this and channeling rewrites to me.)

I hate it when a book, or worse, a series is really enjoyable, then you get to the end and it just doesn't make it.
And now, in honor of National Candied Orange Peel Day, I think I'll go get some. 'Cause yopu never know when you may need some candied orange peel.
